Meal.co.uk review:
Good-looking,
contemporary Moroccan restaurant Mamounia opened last year
& every time we go past, its positively overflowing
with a lively crowd, including a high proportion of diners
from the Middle East.
The
sumptuous decor, incorporating luxurious fabrics & atmospheric
artworks, is part of its appeal, as is the laidback ground-floor
bar with its colourful cocktails & shisha pipes. Downstairs
in the restaurant, the menu majors on contemporary servings
of north African dishes: briouat, merguez with compote of
mixed peppers, steamed mussels in harissa-spiced tomato sauce,
followed by a selection of tagines & couscous.
